My thoughts and conclusions.
I am writing this paper as a layman, not being a graduate of any college or university. However, I have seen, and been involve with, the devastating effects of Dementia upon the individual and the families of those effected. My own wife has been a victim of this challenge, over these last 4 years, although, thankfully, she is now at rest. However, it has brought this subject very much into the forefront of my mind and focused my thoughts and recollections in an attempt to find a path of understanding that would lead to the control or alleviation of this devastating illness.
Upon reading an article published some years ago, I became aware of the existence of strange calcium ring structures, that were to found in certain areas of the brain and also within the heart. In later years came the event of Quantum Theory and a new world of possibilities, which had previously been beyond our reach. At this time, I also became aware of the the ability of
autistic children, to select a particular image from a large collage of similar images, almost instantaneously. This suggested to me, that this ability was of a quantum nature. Could it be that self is within that quantum domain and what of the communication that would be required, should that be so?
Conventional studies describe a communication path consisting of, mechanical < – > electrical < – > neural, as is realised in the audible pathway, for instance. We can append quantum to that path, but how to establish a flow of information between the two? Upon further study I find that these calcium rings are capable of supporting a cohesive quantum state for some 2^16 seconds, and are thus capable of supporting a neural to quantum path of communication. These pathways would combine to present to [self] a realistic image of world in which we have our being. I would propose two groups, the intellectual, situated in the brain and the emotional, situated in the heart. There would be only one property associated with the quantum domain, [wisdom] with an equivalence to those associated within the neural, wisdom < - > knowledge, wisdom < - > memory, wisdom < - > thought, for example. For situations occurring within the neural domain, the wisdom of the quantum domain would be referenced to, to obtain a set of information, which would then be expressed as the knowledge required within the neural domain, to resolve the current situation. A set of information would then be returned to the quantum domain to add to, or
modify the wisdom within that domain, giving rise to the process of learning, also explaining the existence of long-term and short-term memory.
The correct operation of these channels of communication requires an adequate and reliable source of the molecular components upon which they are based. Maintaining the processes of the human gut in good order, is in my opinion, paramount, to achieving this. The calcium [Posner] rings are the
gateway to [self] and are probably the most important aspects of human health that we need to be aware of. Thus, too many bottles of “this Gunk” or “that Gunk” from the local chemists, will not help. Be patient with yourself, avoid getting stressed. Also avoid television commercial breaks, particularly in the late evening. Every 20 minutes, [bla, bla, bla, bla] repetitively. This will
eventually invade and become part of your [wisdom] and who needs it. Listen to some music, or turn in for an early night.
We now need to discus the possible spatial geometry involved. Within the area bounded by the human frame is a point which will always reside at the centre of the combined mass of the frame. This is true, whatever may be the state of the frame at any point in time. For instance, when standing, running, jumping, dancing and all other physical activities. I would consider that the spatial location of the quantum self will align with this point. If this were not so, then a subjective sense of balance would not be achievable. This becomes apparent in advanced cases of Dementia, when the [quantum] < - > (neural) exchange of information has become challenged, resulting in people laying hugging the floor, or slumped forwards in to their own lap, or in terror every time they are hoisted into a chair or bed. We must now consider that [quantum] and [self] are equivalent. A child is borne and is host to a [self] with an associated package of [wisdom]. A [self] in the image of the creator. We are surprised that the child can smile, has light and love in its eyes. This
should be expected, but comes as a very pleasant realisation. We christen that [self] according to gender and through-out the experience of life, this [self] becomes his or her [self]. Eventually the frame will wither and die. However [self] will endure into eternity. I do not see why this should not be so.
